Copyright and Takedown Policy
How rights holders can report misuse of our apps, and what we do about it.
Effective 25 October 2026 · Last updated 25 October 2026
Summary
We respect intellectual property and expect the people who use our apps to do the same. If you believe one of our apps is being used to infringe your rights, email contact@tangledspy.com with the subject line "Copyright notice". We acknowledge notices within 48 hours.
How our apps handle content
ClipCove is a web browser with a download manager. We do not host, store, index or distribute any videos, music or other content. When someone downloads something, their own phone fetches it directly from the website they are viewing; we never receive the file.
Our Terms of Service allow people to download only content they created, content in the public domain, content offered under a licence that allows downloading, or content the owner has allowed them to download. ClipCove does not download from YouTube.
Sending a copyright notice
Email contact@tangledspy.com with the subject line "Copyright notice", and include:
- your name, organisation (if any), postal address, phone number and email;
- a description of the copyrighted work, and evidence that you own it or act for the owner;
- the web address where the content is available, and how our app is involved;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
What we do
We acknowledge your notice within 48 hours and respond within one month, usually much sooner. Depending on the case, we may:
- stop ClipCove from downloading from the website concerned, or from specific pages on it;
- update the app or its store listing;
- take action against misuse where we can identify it.
Because ClipCove does not host content, the website that hosts the content is usually the right place to ask for its removal. We will tell you if that is the case.
If you believe a block is a mistake
If we have blocked downloads from your own website or content by mistake, email us with details showing that you own it or have the right to allow downloads. We review it and reply within one month.
False claims
Knowingly false claims of infringement, or false counter-claims, can make the sender liable for damages under the law.
